Review of the first progress meeting of the SPINTHEORY Transversal Project
A review of the first progress meeting of the SPINTHEORY Cross-Project took place on June 3rd and 4th at the Luminy campus in Marseille (CiNAM)
At the first SPINTHEORY project progress workshop, 45 participants gathered on-site to explore a diverse and extensive program. In addition to those physically present, remote attendees also joined to witness the 27 presentations delivered by researchers, including postdoctoral fellows, from the consortium.
The topics covered a wide range of innovative themes, such as materials for spintronics, complex magnetic textures, ultrafast phenomena, spin transport, and spintronic components
Members from other programs, notably SPINMAT, CHIREX, SPINCHARC, SPINCOM, and ADAGE, also contributed their expertise, highlighting new challenges for the SPINTHEORY community. These presentations enriched the discussions and facilitated the exchange of ideas.
At the workshop, Romain Géneaux from CEA/LYDIL had the opportunity to present a tutorial on controlling magnetization with laser pulses at the attosecond scale. Discussions among participants from 12 different laboratories provided young researchers, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral fellows with insights into the scientific community and its research directions.
This workshop strengthened the bonds among consortium members and opened new perspectives for spintronics research.
